Pictureless Update...

So... you ready for the excuses??  First, our computer crashed-well, died- well, actually I'm not sure of the official term, but it wouldn't turn on (starting in Nov).  Josh managed to save all the pictures, but they're on his hard drive and he's just a little busy writing a dissertation to bother with uploading pictures to blogs!  :)  NEXT, they moved our new computer (the one Josh built after our other one died) to Seattle to last week, so now I just don't have anything.  The only reason I've ever blogged is to put pictures on the computer of my cute kids. BUT we've had such crazy things going on that I feel like an update is worth it, even though there are no pictures.  :)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Chicago with Josh's sister Danielle and her family.  Her husband Brent with Josh as his right hand man managed to make 13 pies from scratch.  Mmmm!!  It was fun and memorable as always!

Christmas was wonderful.  The girls felt the magic, we felt the magic and we all tried to be more thoughtful of others.  We felt especially blessed for lots and lots of reasons.  We were able to sell the remainder of our lease to some great students AND find a temporary 2 bedroom apartment for the same amount we normally pay!!!  The packers/movers came last week and with some necessary and most appreciated help from my mom and dad we were able to get all moved in to our new apartment, cleaned up and moved out of our old apartment, and drive them back to the airport the same day.  Whew!  They are crazy hard workers!  Josh is finishing writing his dissertation the next couple weeks and seems to be handling the stress of everything unbelievably well.

We just got back from New Years in Chicago with 3 of Josh's sisters and their families.  It was SO fun, but it's hard to see our time in the Midwest coming to a close.  We have loved it here.  We have so many fun memories and have made so many, many lifelong friends.  Sigh.  We'll be sad to go.  BUT... things are going to be great in Seattle.  We'll have new baby brother joining us about four or five weeks after we get there, so that will be exciting.  I'm 30.5 weeks now.  Crazy how time flies.  :)  We've been so blessed and I will try and keep updating occasionally.  Though I know you really just want to see pictures!!  :)

no need for pictures-- just like hearing what is going on. (that is a hint for after you move )

Ditto on what Becky said! Wow! It seemed like time stopped for me when we moved - I forget that people keep moving and don't freeze in time! It kinda shocked me when I read about your upcoming move. For some reason it snuck up on me and I forgot you'd be moving so soon! What an adventure!! C.C. has been mentioning lately how much she misses all her friends - but it helps her when she hears that they are moving away too. So even if we went back to Indiana - they wouldn't be there. That makes her feel a little better. That and the fact that she LOVES New York! Be sure to post about your new adventures! I wanna hear all about them!!

I'm so sad that your time here is coming to an end. :(
But I am so happy for you guys going to Seattle. And yes, updates will be important once you're gone.
