House tour and random pics!

So, um it's been awhile... I promised my sister a week and a half ago that I would do an update in 3 days... better late than never, eh?  Things have been so good for us.  We've seen quite a bit of sun in the last week and try and take advantage of it!  We feel very blessed to have best friends up the street to chat with, play with, and be outside riding bikes with!  We really feel like this is the place we are supposed to be right now and it feels really good to have things come into a little bit more of a routine.  We miss our Indiana aerobics, but they have quite the work out group at the church here- not as often, but a little more crazy.  It's super fun for me, but the girls have to get used to it all over again.  I am having some serious volleyball withdrawals.  I've been asking all around if people play, but it sounds like they have teams and compete with the different wards only from around Sept-Dec.  I am sad, sad, sad!  I need weekly, just for fun volleyball!  I'll have to see what I can petition when we get a little more settled in!  :)

Before we left our old apartment (about a month ago!!) Kali came to spend her spring break with us.  Elijah was just a week and so it was nice to have an extra set of hands.  While she was there I asked if she would watch Madeline and Moira for us so we could go out for an 'anniversary' dinner (a month early!).  I knew we wouldn't have a chance once it came.  We went to Cheesecake Factory... sigh!  Instead of both getting a piece of cheesecake we decided to get a half of a cheesecake to share with Kali (as a thank you!).  I couldn't help taking a picture and now it makes my mouth water!  Peanut butter, caramel, butterfinger-like something... sigh!

I think we have a picture of Kali with all the babies in this pose.

We were super lucky to have Juli come and visit us!!!  She made the girls these AMAZING finger puppets! She is unbelievably talented!!

Here's Moira's favorite... the monster!

And Madeline's favorite... the mermaid!

Here's little Elijah!

I've been promising to put up some pictures of the house... this was the first week we moved in... so, no table, furniture, or garbage can (it's becoming more and more like home!).  But at least the pictures will give you a little idea!  We have since learned about the people that lived in our home before us.  No kids at home, amazing couple, and super meticulous about keeping their home.  Lucky, lucky, lucky for us!!  :)

This is the view right after you walk in.  To your right is a formal living/dining room and to your left is a den/study (we're not sure what it will eventually become).  The stairs are also on your left (tour of the upstairs is for another day!)

Here is the living/dining room.

On your left... the office... currently used for our awesome box house!  Then, walk down the little hall way and on your left...

The half bath... and on your right...

Our washer/dryer and door to the garage (which Josh's family came and helped us build some awesome shelves for... I'll put pictures up later!)  Then walk down the hall a little bit more and on your right...

My totally awesome kitchen!  Notice no garbage can, no table, but LOTS OF CUPBOARD space and LOTS of light!!!  There is also a desk next to the refrigerator!  I love it! Then... the family room.

So that's the tour of the main floor.  The upstairs has three bedrooms and a bathroom, our master bedroom and bathroom, and a bonus room that we have made a toy room out of.  Maybe one day I'll put pictures up of it too!  :)

I realized that I didn't have ANY pictures of me and Elijah, so I had Josh take a couple... too bad it was in the dark, oh well!

I love my sweet, sweet little guy!

Madeline and Moira in our cute, cozy backyard.  Their favorite thing to do is dig for worms.

Sleeping Elijah!

His bath, awww!!

Madeline using packing paper to fashion herself a gown!

Resting in front of the fireplace... possibly my favorite feature of our home!  :)

Here is a picture of our new table... I had no idea how much work it is to buy furniture (this is our first purchase together!)... whew... too many choices, so expensive.  Sigh.  It has one more leaf and becomes a perfect square.  We love the bench (the girls and I).  It is so much more fun to eat on it than the floor.  :)
