In August Grandma and Grandpa visited us for a couple of days! We LOVE when they visit!!! We tried something new in additional to our customary zoo visit... Fair Oaks Farms. It was AWESOME!
Here is Grandma and Madeline jumping on the BIG 'pillow top'. It had just rained so it was really slippery, but it didn't stop us.
My mom was the only one who made it all the way through the mouse maze to get to the top of the cheese... OH WAIT... she ducked under the ropes when nobody was looking. Hmmm... none of us were smart enough to get through the maze. :)
When we were there we really did see a baby calf born, but it was crazy because the mom couldn't get her out. A lady had to come in and help with all kinds of 'interventions'. It reminded me too much of my own deliveries and by the time she finally got the calf out my mom and I were both in tears. :) Ha!!
After that we got to go eat cheese curds and ice cream... mmmmmm!!!
Here is grandpa bonding with the kiddos!
My dad was only here for breakfast on his birthday (then they had to fly out!). So we sang to him over white chocolate chip coffee cake. Mmmm!
Josh always cooks on my birthday. Here is my breakfast. A sausage egg mcmuffin! Mmmm!
Here is dinner... good ole' steak and potatoes. (AND it really was GOOD!!)
Here is dessert... for real strawberry shortcake! Mmmm!
Woot for getting old! One candle represents 27, right?? It does at our house (that's why Madeline and I are blowing so hard!)
Here was Josh's birthday breakfast. Decorated by Madeline... she's super awesome!
Josh had been missing Ivars lately so I tried to do homemade fish and chips (and I even bought MALT VINEGAR-my favorite!) and clam chowder. Hmmm, all I can say is that I will gladly spend the money at Ivars before ever trying this again. :)
My cute girls and their $3 pajamas... woot!
These pictures were supposed to be up by my mom, because whenever she comes she does the girls' hair really cute.

Oh man that trip was so fun. I loved Fair Oak Farms. So glad that guy from your ward suggested it and that we were adventurous enough to do it. Yes, it's funny that we bawled when the baby calf was born. It's because we are mothers and we felt her pain. You are always so good to us. Thanks for everything!!! Cute, cute girls!!! - Love ya!
You always make such yummy birthday food!! It looks delicious!! Cute girls, and super cute hair!!
